Quetta: The Sessions Court of Quetta approved the bail of Balochistan Minister of Construction and Communications Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran. He was an accused in a case registered in Barkhan in February regarding the brutal murder of three people whose bullet-riddled bodies were found.
Khetran was granted bail on a bond of Rs 10 lakh.
Last month, the court approved the 10-day physical remand of the Balochistan minister to the crime branch of the police.
Khetran was brought to the court under tight security. He made a victory sign before appearing in court. The accused was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate Samina Nasreen.
This shocking incident of Barkhan happened when a video of the Holy Quran in the hands of a woman was released on social media. In the video, the woman claimed that she and her children were detained by Kshetran. She pleaded with the people to release her and her children.
Khan Muhammad Marri, a resident of Kohlu, initially claimed that his wife and two sons were among the dead. He then alleged: “Five slaves are still in the possession of Sardar Abdul Rahman.”
The story of Tehre’s murder took a dramatic turn when a police surgeon revealed after post-mortem that one of the dead was a 17-18-year-old girl. They said that the victim was raped and tortured before being shot.
The medico-legal officer said the post-mortem revealed that the girl had been shot three times in the head and her face and neck were mutilated with acid to conceal her identity. He said that the girl might not be Girnaz but his daughter.
In addition, two others were tortured before being killed.
Meanwhile, the accused denied the allegations of involvement in the gruesome murder of three persons. Speaking to JEE News, he claimed that he is a “peaceful and law-abiding person”.
He further said that the charges of owning a private prison and murdering three persons are a conspiracy to damage my political reputation. The minister alleged that his own son was behind the conspiracy.
