PTI supporters clashed with the police throughout the night as they barricaded themselves in their residence in Zaman Park, thwarting efforts to arrest them. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies also arrested PTI workers.

Police fought a pitched battle with Khan’s PTI supporters near his residence throughout the night, firing tear gas shells and dodging stones hurled by angry mobs.

Police unarmed, claims minister

Meanwhile, Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said the policemen in Zaman Park were “unarmed”, adding that the PTI chief wanted a civil war in the country.

The minister said that the government has nothing to do with the arrest of Imran Khan.

He reminded that the PTI chief jailed all his political opponents during his tenure, adding that Imran Khan was giving the impression that the government was behind his arrest.

“The court issued arrest warrants,” the minister said, adding that PTI chiefs were using women and children as shields.

The minister said that this person is a criminal and the court has summoned him.

Fawad files plea against police operation

PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry filed an intervention petition in the Lahore High Court to stop the ongoing police action in Zaman Park.

The application has been sent to Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh for hearing.

IHC reserves verdict on suspension of warrant

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved judgment on the plea for suspension of arrest warrant in the Tosha Khana case.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq reserved the decision after hearing the arguments on the petition filed on emergency grounds.

When the hearing resumed, Imran Khan’s lawyer Khawaja Haris told the court that he had challenged the March 13 order of the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad. He added that the IHC had earlier suspended the arrest warrant issued by the trial court.

He further said that the court had ordered the PTI chief to appear before the court on March 13, but he was unable to do so.

“Where was he that day?” Justice Farooq asked the question.

The counsel replied that he was at his home, adding that he told the trial court that the complaint was not hearable.

“The issue is not re-issue of warrant. The court had directed him to appear on March 13 or else the warrant will be restored,” the IHC chief justice told the court.

Harris then told the court that the complaint was filed wrongly as the officer who registered the complaint did not have the authority to do so.

Harris said that according to the law, the Election Commission can file a complaint. He further said that the Election Commissioner or any other officer can be empowered to lodge a complaint.

In this regard, the legal requirements were not fulfilled. In such a situation, even the process of issuing the warrant is not valid,” said the lawyer.

The IHC Chief Justice observed that “it was still necessary to appear in court.

The lawyer then told the court that what is happening in Lahore is unfortunate, adding that Imran Khan is ready to give affidavits and appear in the court on the next hearing.

Respect and dignity of the courts is very important. It is very important for us that the law should be the same for all,” remarked the IHC Chief Justice. He also asked what image of Pakistan is being presented.

“We hear that this has happened in the tribal areas. What are we trying to show the world that we will not enforce the law? said the IHC chief justice.

Haris asked, “But where will they keep him (Imran Khan) for four days?”

Meanwhile, Advocate General of Islamabad told the court that if the PTI chief does not appear in the court on March 18, Haris will not be charged. He also asked whether he would quit the legal profession if his client did not appear on March 18.

The government lawyer said it was the first time he had administered an oath to anyone. He further said that relief was to be given to the petitioner and his conduct is in front of all.

At this point, the Additional Attorney General intervened and said: “Similar bail was granted earlier. That time too the High Court had suspended the warrant but then he did not appear. He added that The execution of the court order is necessary.

Is what is happening in Lahore correct? asked the judge.

Khan’s lawyer replied that it was not right.

Justice Farooq remarked that workers of a political party are attacking the police, it is an attack on the state.

The Chief Justice of IHC said that the police officers are performing their duties on behalf of the state. He also asked if anyone in the UK could touch a policeman’s uniform.

After which the court reserved the decision.

‘Whatever is happening is a result of your actions’

Meanwhile, Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Aamir Farooq has directed PTI to remove objections raised by the Registrar’s Office, saying that “what is happening in Lahore is TI’s actions are the result.”

PTI had approached the IHC challenging the arrest warrant on security grounds. Khan’s counsel filed the petition on Tuesday and requested the court to fix the matter before the bench for hearing on the same day.

However, the judicial office objected that the application did not contain the biometric verification of the ousted prime minister.

Today, when Chief Justice Aamir Farooq heard the application, he asked PTI’s lawyer whether he has removed the objections to the application.

To which PTI’s lawyer Khawaja Haris replied that what is happening in Lahore is known to the court.

Justice Farooq replied that what is happening is the result of your actions.

The IHC chief justice also told the lawyer that the application was yet to be decided and he would hear it when it was decided.

Justice Farooq also asked what happened to the relief given by the court. He further said that the court orders have not been implemented, we will see what the result is.

The Chief Justice remarked that the Registrar’s Office of the Islamabad High Court had raised minor objections to the application. He then said that he was removing two objections related to biometric verification and signature of the applicant.

The Chief Justice of IHC said that there is an objection to the tickets which can be removed in half an hour. However, the court adjourned the hearing ordering the lawyers to clear the objections within three days.

‘Real intent is to abduct and assassinate’

On Twitter, the former prime minister shared a picture of the tear gas shells allegedly used during the crackdown on his house.

“Latest attack by Rangers, pitting the largest pol party against the army. This is what PDM and the enemies of Pakistan want. No lessons learnt from the East Pakistan tragedy,” said the PTI chief.

Earlier, after the deployment of the Rangers, the PTI chairman had claimed in a series of tweets that the “real intention is to abduct and kill them” as the police “have now resorted to live firing”.

“My question to the establishment, to those who claim to be ‘neutral’: Is this your view of neutrality, Rangers directly confronting unarmed protesters and the leadership of the largest political party? When their leader is facing an illegal warrant and is on trial in court. When the rogue government is trying to kidnap and possibly kill him?

‘London plan’

In a video shared on PTI’s Twitter account shortly before dawn, Khan is seen sitting opposite Pakistan and waving party flags on a table decorated with spent tear gas canisters.

He said that I am telling the whole nation today that they are ready again, they are coming again.

“They will teargas our people and do other things like that, but you should know that they have no justification for doing that.”

“The way the police attack our people… is unprecedented,” Khan said.

“Water cannons, tear gas… they fired inside the house where the servants and women were.”

The PTI chief claimed that he was not showing up at F8 Court as terrorists had targeted the facility twice.

The PTI chief said that they know that I did not appear because of security, now they are preparing again.

The former prime minister also claimed that in order to “avoid confusion”, he had signed an affidavit and his lawyer Ishtiaq A Khan asked the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad Police to furnish bail. tried to

“And as per Section 76 of the Penal Code, if the arresting officer is given a bail bond, he cannot make an arrest,” the PTI chief said.

He further claimed that the police had no reason to arrest him thereafter. However, the PTI chief alleged that the DIG deliberately refused to take bond as his arrest was part of the “London Plan”.

In the London plan, it has been decided to put Imran Khan in jail, defeat PTI and end all cases of Nawaz Sharif. Putting me in jail is part of the London plan. It has nothing to do with the law and I have not committed any crime,” the PTI chief said.
