LAHORE: In an unexpected development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Yasmin Rashid on Thursday claimed that she escaped police arrest by locking herself in a car.
“The police have surrounded me to arrest me,” he claimed.
According to JEE News, the former Punjab Health Minister’s car was surrounded by the law enforcement agency near Shadman Park underpass in Lahore when she was going to the clinic with her.
The PTI leader further claimed that the police asked him to get out of the vehicle and accompany them. He further said that the women police asked them to come with them, but the former provincial minister refused.
According to Dr. Rashid, he told the police that a First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against him in the Ali Bilal case, but he is out on bail.
Later, the PTI leader said that the police had let him go and he was currently at his clinic.
However, the police say that they have not arrested the PTI leader.
