LAHORE: The Additional District and Sessions Court ordered the freezing of the accounts and properties of former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi’s son Rasakh Elahi, his wife and Monis Elahi’s wife.
The court accepted the FIA’s request to freeze the properties and accounts of the accused in the money laundering investigation.
Additional Sessions Judge Chaudhry Ghulam Rasool issued a three-page written order.
The FIA had requested to freeze the assets of Rasukh Elahi, Zahra Elahi, Tahirm Elahi, Faran Ahmed and others.
According to FIA’s claim, the accused made properties through money laundering and kept money in the accounts.
The agency requested the court to freeze the assets and accounts of the accused under the Anti-Money Laundering Act, which the court accepted.
