ISLAMABAD: Another alleged audio leak of former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar surfaced on Monday in which the former top judge can be heard using “strong language” against PMLN chief organizer Maryam Nawaz.
In the purported audio, Nisar and another person said to be a PTI lawyer, Tariq Khawaja Rahim, apparently discussed the PMLN leader’s explosive speeches targeting the former chief justice.
In the clip, Tariq alleges that he offered Nisar to “give a befitting reply to the woman who speaks so much” or “beat her somehow”.
To this, Nisar is alleged to have said “have the guts to bear it, but I will ask you to do something explosive on the side when needed”. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the ‘bad language’ used against his niece Maryam in the alleged audio leak.
“Society, especially women, should strongly condemn this speech and derogatory thinking about women,” he said, adding that “only collective condemnation can stop this negative thinking in society”.
Although the authenticity of the audio clip could not be confirmed, earlier this month Chaudhry Nisar claimed that his WhatsApp account had been hacked and said that he suspected that the facts were being distorted for political purposes. Data is being misused.
