The nation is celebrating Pakistan Day today (Thursday) with a renewed resolve to transform the country into a true Islamic welfare state as per the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and to ensure its prosperity, progress and prosperity as a strong nation.
Celebrated every year since 1940, March 23 commemorates the day when the historic Lahore Resolution was passed, allowing the Muslims of the subcontinent to set the agenda for a separate homeland.
The day began with a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and 21 in provincial capitals.
After the Fajr prayer, special prayers were also offered in the mosques for the development and prosperity of the country.
The President and the Prime Minister congratulated the nation in their messages on this auspicious occasion.
In his message to the nation, President Dr. Arif Alvi paid tribute to the country’s founders, whose struggle and sacrifices brought Pakistan into existence.
“Persecution of minorities, especially Muslims in India, rising tide of Hindutva and violence against Muslims, human rights violations, and illegal activities by Indian security forces in India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) The ongoing atrocities prove that the Muslim leadership of that time took a wise decision,” he said.
The President added that this day serves as a reminder to take stock of our successes and failures as a nation.
“We need to ensure the rule of law, strengthen democracy, reduce inequality in our society, empower women, provide rights to persons with disabilities, eliminate terrorism and extremism, political and economic stability of the country. There is a long way to go to ensure, and protect the human rights of our citizens,” the president said in his message.
He added that the country is capable of overcoming the challenges it faces today.
“If we continue to work with unity, faith and discipline, we will be able to make Pakistan a strong and prosperous country. May Allah protect us all.” he concluded.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that March 23 is an “Epo-Making Day” in Pakistan’s national history that reminds us of our past, invites us to reflect on our present situation and build a prosperous future. Gives movement.

He further said that in the journey of Pakistan for the last 75 years, the nation has seen many crises ranging from wars to natural calamities.

The climate of political chaos explains why we have been unable to develop our economy on a sustainable basis,” asserted the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister further said that Pakistan came into existence as a result of political and constitutional struggle and its future lies in adhering to the spirit and spirit of the Constitution.
“I have no doubt that Pakistan is destined to achieve great heights, however, for this to become a reality, we must unite within our ranks, imbue ourselves with a national cause and embrace our heritage. A commitment must be made to struggle accordingly. Forefathers, let us use this day to examine ourselves and hold ourselves accountable,” Prime Minister Shehbaz urged the nation.
He asserted that true glory can only be achieved by nations that are capable of analyzing their past, learning from their mistakes and making amends.
