4.4 magnitude earthquake tremors in various cities of Punjab

On Thursday afternoon, tremors of magnitude 4.4 with a depth of 30 km were felt in various cities of Punjab.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 30 km southwest of Sargodha. According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake occurred at 4:38 PM.

According to the Meteorological Department, the earthquake occurred at 9:47 PM with a magnitude of 6.8 on the Richter scale. It said the depth was 180 km and its center was the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.

The United States Geological Survey reported the earthquake as having a magnitude of 6.5 and was centered in Karm, Afghanistan at a depth of more than 186 km.
