Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senior Vice President and Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz has questioned whether Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) renegade chairman Imran Khan will accept the results in case of a clean sweep in the upcoming general elections in Punjab. Which was once considered the bastion of Muslim League. N
His statement came in the wake of PTI’s sharp criticism of the incumbent government after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) postponed the general elections in Punjab – initially scheduled for April 30 – due to a change in schedule. Citing security reasons as the main reason behind
While talking to the delegation of lawyers wing of Muslim League (N) who met him in Lahore on Sunday, Maryam questioned that ‘who will guarantee that if Muslim League (N) wins the election in Punjab, Imran Khan will accept the results. Will you?’ He further said that the PTI chief may accuse Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of rigging after the elections.

The leader of Muslim League (N) said that there is no other way except elections for political stability to get the country out of crises.
He also reiterated that elections will be held only after the scales of justice are balanced.
Criticizing the former prime minister – who was ousted in a parliamentary vote in April last year – Maryam claimed that Khan had been brought to power by “facilitators”.
He added that those who brought him to power, later realized that they had made a huge mistake.
Turning his guns towards the judiciary, he said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was removed from office for not taking salary from his son.
In July 2017, Nawaz Sharif stepped down as prime minister after being disqualified from public office by the Supreme Court in a landmark ruling on the Panama Papers case.
Announcing its verdict, the five-judge bench unanimously disqualified Nawaz for not disclosing the amount of asset repatriation from UAE-based Capital FZD in his nomination papers for the 2013 general elections. Diya, and said that this meant they were not ‘honest’ and ‘truthful’, according to the Constitution.
The political family of the Sharif family ridiculed the judiciary and said, “I have come to know for the first time that decisions are made according to the wishes of wives and children.”
He further said that former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa revealed that “the court made decisions as per the direction of the wives”.
His remains are still in the judiciary and Khan trusts him, Maryam said, “Now he [Khan] has got the judicial establishment [asylum].”
He asked that who is protecting Imran Khan even today?
During the interaction with the delegation, the PML-N leader also said that the ousted prime minister had dissolved the provincial assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to spread chaos and disorder in the country.
Describing Khan as a “mental patient”, he said that the then Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi did not want to dissolve the provincial assembly.
