Babil Khan says, “I don’t take ‘advantage’ of being Irfan Khan’s son”

Babil Khan, being the son of legendary actor Irrfan Khan, has been called a product of nepotism many times and finally he said that he never took advantage of his father’s name.

His first film Qila was a huge success. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he talked about how he wants to give his best when he’s working on something. “I’m a person who wants to give my best when I’m doing something. We shot it two years ago. I’ve grown a lot as an actor. So, I always think ‘I wish But I also believe that whatever art you create has its own journey and you can’t bring your ego into it,” he said.

Talking about his work relationship with his late father, he said, “Baba’s work was always about connecting with people. He didn’t care about awards, or who was producing or directing it. was doing. He just knew he had to play this role and he would pull it from people. That got into me as well.”

He also clarified that he never took advantage of his father to get work. “I don’t think my mother could ever pick up the phone and ask for a favor. I have to go to the audition or I’ll get beaten up at home.”

He added, “Even now, I’m doing auditions and I get rejected a lot. Even today, if there’s an audition I really want to crack and I screw it up, they get on me a lot. She would be angry. But she would never pick up the phone and say, ‘kara do isko (let him do it)’.
