Pakistan’s stand-in captain Shadab Khan created history by picking up his 100th Twenty20 International wicket during the third T20I against Afghanistan in Sharjah on Monday.

With three wickets under his belt, Khan became the first Pakistani bowler to reach the remarkable milestone, which was widely applauded on social media.

Khan’s achievement puts him in an exclusive club of only seven bowlers worldwide who have taken 100 T20I wickets, including Tim Southee, Shakib Al Hasan, Rashid Khan, Ish Sodhi, Lasith Malinga, and Mustafizur Rahman.

It is worth noting that Pakistan women’s team all-rounder Nida Dar has also taken 100 wickets in T20I cricket.

Pakistan’s victory in the third T20I prevented a series whitewash against Afghanistan in Sharjah. Despite losing the first two matches, Pakistan put up a solid performance defending their bowlers’ total of 183 runs to defeat their opponents by 66 runs to win the series 2-1.

The team’s impressive display showcased their skill and determination, and fans are no doubt eager to see what they do in the future.
