Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has decided not to appear before the joint investigation team investigating the Zaman Park operation and the cases against him at the Lahore CCPO office.
The JIT investigating the cases registered against PTI has today summoned all other nominated leaders including Imran Khan.
Deciding not to appear before the JIT at the CCPO office, the PTI chief will present his stand before the team through his lawyers.
PTI leader and former minister Asad Umar was the only one who complied with the summons issued to him and appeared before the team to record his statement.
Meanwhile, PTI has challenged the formation of JIT in the Lahore High Court.
The party took the stand that 10 frivolous cases have been registered against 11 PTI leaders including Imran Khan.
He also claims that he is not aware of the cases under investigation by the JIT.
The party has demanded that the notification for the formation of the JIT be annulled.
