London: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain on Thursday appealed to the British Home Minister Suyla Braverman to take notice of the outcome of the London Properties case and term it as a travesty of justice.

“I know the British government doesn’t interfere in the courts here, but they should take notice because this decision will have an impact on the justice system,” said Mr Hussain.

In a press conference held at the MQM International Secretariat in Edgware, the MQM supremo said that the establishment is used to imposing a ‘minus formula’ on political parties, and is known for creating groups and breaking parties.

He said properties in London were accumulated over time for the MQM after it went into self-imposed exile in London in the 1990s and was bought with donations from party supporters around the world. He said that the families of party workers still use some of these properties.
