ISLAMABAD: Amid strong protests by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the federal government on Monday passed the Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) Bill 2023 in a joint session of Parliament after President Arif Alvi tried to withdraw the bill. The Chief Justice’s suo motu powers were reduced last week.
