Quetta: In the latest incident of terrorism, four people including two policemen were martyred as a result of an explosion near a police vehicle in Shahrah Iqbal area of the city on Monday.
Officials told JEE News that at least 15 people were also injured in the blast, which damaged several cars and motorcycles in the vicinity. The hospital administration says that the bodies have been shifted to the civil hospital. A girl is also among those killed in the blast.
Civil Defense Director Rafu Mandokhail said that three to four kilograms of explosives were used in the explosion planted in the motorcycle.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has condemned the blast. The Prime Minister has also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and directed the concerned authorities to ensure all possible medical assistance for them. He also sought a report on the attack from the concerned authorities. According to JEE News, the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
