According to reports, Sidharth Malhotra is being considered to play a cop in Rowdy Rathore 2.
According to sources, the makers are ready to finalize the cast of the film. There are chances that Sidharth may step into the shoes of OG Akshay Kumar for the sequel.
The source added: “Shabina Khan has been trying to develop Rowdy Rathore 2 for some time now, but, is waiting for all the factors to fall in place. She has finally locked down the basic idea of Rowdy Rathore 2.” has become a success and is in talks with Sidharth Malhotra to play a cop in the film. Sid has also shown interest, however, is still mulling over whether Rohit will accept him. A police role should be played outside the Shetty Cop universe.”
“The makers are keen to take the film on floors in the next 2 months as the basics are already on paper. It’s just about getting the cast in the film. Talks are also on with a top director, who has A blockbuster was produced last year, so as to wrap things up”, claim the source.
Earlier, Akshay played the lead role in the original segment. He played a double role in the first part of the film which turned out to be an absolute charmer at the box office.
It is not yet clear whether OG will feature a sequel or not. Chances are he might be into it, but chances are he might not be. The lead actor is yet to be confirmed.
On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra will be seen opposite Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi in Rohit Shetty’s first OTT series Indian Police Force, reports JEE News.
