ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday challenged the decision of the Lahore High Court in the Supreme Court, rejecting the request of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to be made a party in the case of his return to Pakistan.
On Wednesday, Fawad requested the Supreme Court to make him a party in the instant case. He said that when Nawaz Sharif was allowed to go abroad, Shahbaz Sharif had given a guarantee that his brother would return to the country. He said that Nawaz Sharif is absconding, Shahbaz Sharif instead of acting as his guarantor issued him a diplomatic passport.
Fawad Chaudhry questioned whether the High Court was justified in dismissing my petition without discussing the factual and legal points raised in my petition.
He prayed the Supreme Court to grant his application for leave to appeal and set aside the order passed by the learned High Court on 16th March, 2023, besides making him a party in the instant matter. to be added as, which is pending. Lahore High Court
