The Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Atta Bandial has been delisted, the Supreme Court Registrar said on Wednesday.

The bench fixed 12 cases for hearing.

Sources say that the bench has been delisted due to ill health of Chief Justice Bandial. He said that the Chief Justice has fever, flu and body aches, but he will hear the cases after he recovers.

Bench No. 1, headed by the Chief Justice, was delisted due to his unavailability, a Supreme Court spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, the cause list of cases scheduled for hearing by bench no. 2 consisting of Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Shahid Waheed were also cancelled.

After this development, a new bench consisting of Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan and Justice Aminuddin Khan was constituted to hear all the cases of Bench No. 2.
