Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023 film Jawan is no longer releasing on June 2.
Jawan was earlier slated to hit theaters on June 2. But the makers have now moved the date forward. The new date will be announced soon.
Sources revealed: “Jawan is not releasing on June 2, 2023. The team needs some more time to complete the visual effects of the film and will come up with a product that will match the best of the country’s films. Compete with a substandard film.”
Sources claim that Shahrukh’s film has now been postponed till August.
“The team is considering several dates but they need to align with the VFX guidelines. The dates currently being considered are June 29 and all four weeks of August.
“Possibly, Jaawan will now release in August, as Shah Rukh Khan and the team now want to give proper time to the VFX. August 11 and August 25 are being discussed a lot by all stakeholders at Red Chillies. is”, the source added.
According to sources, “The Red Chillies team is taking everything into consideration before announcing a specific date. They are determined to deliver an uncompromised product and will now announce the date in such a way that the film is not delayed further.”
“Delays had been going on for a while; however, stakeholders were hopeful of completing the VFX by early May.”
However, it might be an odd time for Jaawan to release in August as there are many other big releases slated for the same month. For example, Dream Girl 2 and Raula are slated to release on August 25. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s Jailer is also releasing in August which could be a strong competitor for Jaawan, reports JEE News.
