Lahore: President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has claimed that party chairman Imran Khan has promised to make him the chief minister if Tehreek-e-Insaf wins in Punjab.
Talking to the media here on Saturday, Pervaiz Elahi said that I gave him (Imran) a signed document regarding the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly in writing and also attached my identity card to it and said that he dissolved the assembly. We respected him and he respected us and offered me to be the central president of the party and promised me that Monis Elahi or I will be the next chief minister of the party after the elections,” he claimed. .
Elahi further claimed: “We respect the real establishment, which is the backbone of the country, and we still have ideal relations with them. But today there are some intruders, so we are with them.” No. We have no harmony with them, so all attempts at negotiation are meaningless and we are not even sorry for what they are doing.
In response to a question regarding the raid of his house by the police and anti-corruption establishment, the PTI leader said that the same people who were after Imran Khan were behind this action. He further said that he does not want to name anyone because everyone knows who he is. He added that they were not unknown and said that I prayed to save Pakistan from their evil. They are real terrorists.
Without naming anyone, Elahi further claimed that he was pressured not to join the PTI. He said he was told that when he joined the PTI, and in response he told him that it was not his job to ask people to join or leave a political party.
The former chief minister criticized the current team of the establishment and said that Imran Khan does not want a fight at all. He said that Imran’s fight was with Bajwa Sahib and now he is gone, new people have come. He said that the freshmen should have thought that the team they brought in would sink their boat. He added that we have also gone to court against those who will depend on this team.
Responding to a question on whether there is any possibility of a compromise between Imran Khan and the establishment, Elahi said that with whom the peace talks should be conducted. He said that Imran Khan’s fight is with those who have specific thoughts and ideas. “Unless they change their mind, the way will get tougher. We are fighting with this setup and this mentality,” he said, adding that he believes Pakistan is economically and morally doomed. .

To a question that Imran Khan is claiming that the assemblies were dissolved on the orders of General Bajwa, the former Punjab Chief Minister said that yes, Khan had given this statement but I had no discussion with him on the matter.

Talking about General Bajwa, Pervaiz Elahi said that he thought that if Bajwa Sahib and Imran Khan had sat together for 10 to 15 minutes, all the power differences would have been removed.
