Meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out four new features for users to make the experience better and smoother.

According to WaBetaInfo, new features include the ability to mute unknown callers, mention groups in community announcement groups, community entry points and message editing.

The new features are available to beta testers now but will roll out to more users in the coming weeks.

Mute unknown callers.
The instant messaging app is allowing users to gain more control over incoming calls by muting unknown callers. Users can enable this feature by going to the Privacy option in Settings and then clicking on Calls.

This feature will allow people to limit spam calls, giving them more privacy and security.

Mention the group
This feature allows community admins to mention groups in a community announcement group. This will help community members highlight groups when messaging them.

Community entry point
Users will be able to open community groups directly within the community announcement group with this new button placed within the header.

“Additionally, a community creator can quickly create a group from the menu that appears by tapping this button,” the app tracking website said.

Editing messages
Another amazing update on WhatsApp is that some users can edit a text message within 15 minutes of sending it.

WaBetaInfo said, “This limit is set to maintain the integrity of the conversation so that messages cannot be modified in the long run, as the purpose of the message editing feature is only to correct typos. “

Users have the ability to edit messages an unlimited number of times but cannot edit a message sent from another device.

These updates will be available for those who install the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS. Some of them are also available for Android beta.
