According to Farhan Qureshi, Country Director of Google, Pakistan does a roaring trade of Rs 1000 billion through various transactions in a year.
In an exclusive interview, a Google official said that users benefited by Rs 210 billion in a year.
According to Qureshi, Google creates 410,000 jobs every year, and there are 350 content creators in Pakistan with 1 million followers.
He further said that half of the viewers are outside Pakistan. He also said that 1600 game studios have been built in the last five years.
Qureshi added that there are 5,400 YouTube channels with 100,000 subscribers.
Pakistani content creators are known worldwide for their innovation and ability to set new trends. There are about 350 content creators with over 10 million subscribers and over 50% foreign viewers. “We have seen some incredible and imaginative content crossing boundaries,” he added.
According to Farhan Qureshi, YouTube and gaming have now captured the interest of content providers. Over 1600 gaming studios have been created, resulting in a 100% increase in game studio development. With millions of subscribers to over 5000 YouTube channels, YouTube has also become a very busy environment.
