Imran condemns May 9 violence.

LAHORE: Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Friday said that violence is not part of his politics, and he has already condemned the May 9 violent incidents.

Speaking to the media on various occasions in the courtroom and at his residence in Zaman Park, he said that we have repeatedly condemned the May 9 attacks, clarifying that they not only attacked the Lahore Corps Commander House. Condemned but also condemned every violent incident. . He said that the attack on Jinnah House [Corps Commander’s House] brought the country into disrepute and he condemned the incident in the strongest possible terms.

PTI Chairman asked who said these incidents are not condemnable. “People know me and my politics,” he said, adding that everyone was well aware of his long political struggle. Imran added that I have always been against violent politics.

To a question about terrorists taking refuge at his Zaman Park residence, he said the media can check and the government can also do so after adopting all appropriate procedures.

Regarding the political negotiations between the parties, Khan said how one-sided negotiations would be possible. He said that the PDM [ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement] wants to play on the so-called level playing field, which they consider favorable to them.

Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday granted pre-arrest bail to Imran Khan in three cases against him after the Jinnah House attack and his arrest on May 9. I was booked for disturbing the peace.

Imran appeared in the court along with his legal team. His lawyer argued before the court that his client has been named in fake cases. “My client wants to join the investigation, but had strong doubts about being arrested by the Punjab police,” he told the court and requested him to be granted anticipatory bail. The court accepted the request.

On the other hand, Lahore High Court Justice Anwar-ul-Haq Pannu approved Imran’s pre-arrest bail till June 2 in the Zuli Shah murder case.

Earlier, the same case was heard in the court of Justice Ali Zia Bajwa. However, he recused himself from hearing the matter due to personal reasons. After which the case was conducted in the court of Pinna.
