UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged the international community to help Pakistan as the country grapples with the devastation of massive floods.
According to the Foreign Office, Guterres arrived in Pakistan on Thursday night on a two-day visit to meet with the government and people of Pakistan as they cope with the natural disaster caused by the extreme weather caused by unprecedented rains and floods across the country. Solidarity can be expressed.
Minister of State for External Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar welcomed them. He will visit the flood affected areas of the country.
The UN Secretary General took to Twitter shortly after arriving in Pakistan to appeal to the international community to offer “massive support” to Pakistan.
