Amazon Prime has confirmed that Priyanka Chopra’s hugely popular American web series Citadel will get another season.
Directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, The Citadel was loved by audiences worldwide. It became the second most watched show on Amazon Prime.
Considering the immense love the first season received, the makers have decided to renew the show for a second season.
According to reports, the shooting of Citadel Season 2 is expected to start soon. Unlike the first season, which was directed by the Russo brothers, Newton-Thomas Segal and Jessica Yu, the next season will be directed entirely by Joey.
However, writer David Weil will continue his journey as showrunner. Meanwhile, Anthony will serve as the show’s executive producer.
As per JEE News reports, Citadel Season 2 has been confirmed with an official statement from the makers. He said: “Citadel is truly a global phenomenon. We always aimed to create a new franchise rooted in original IP that would expand Prime Video’s international audience.”
“Its massive worldwide first-time audience is a testament to the brilliant vision of Joe and Anthony Russo, the incredible talent of Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Leslie Manville, and Stanley Tucci, and the tireless work of the creative teams, cast and crew. “
