LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that a “strong government” is not supported by the “establishment” but by the people. Addressing his supporters virtually on Tuesday, the PTI chief taunted the ruling coalition government, saying the country’s institutions were being destroyed because they were trying to break up his party, JEE News reported.

He said that agencies which were supposed to prevent crime have been tasked to eliminate PTI and appealed to be briefed on the future road map. “What I understand is that a new king’s party is being formed. People who have left [the PTI] are being inducted into this party,” claimed the former prime minister who was voted out in April last year.

He insisted that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) was losing support because people were unwilling to attend its public meetings. The PMLN is associated with all the “atrocities” in the country. He wondered if this was the way the coalition was going to pull the country out of crisis.

“A strong government is one that has the people behind it, not the establishment. Don’t be under the illusion that rallying the people and backing the establishment will help get rid of [the country’s] problems,” he said. said

Imran further said that only the government coming from the people’s mandate can take major decisions. The ousted prime minister reiterated that the country will not run until the rule of law is established in the country. He responded to the PMLN and PPP’s response that they had maintained a lot of pressure. He claimed that the cases under his regime were registered before he came to power. When his party was in power, he never picked up women or entered people’s homes. He said his “security head” had disappeared, adding that he would not back down from his position.

They are spreading fear so that we become slaves. They want to instill fear in 50% of the country’s population. It is time to fight for real freedom,” he said, adding that his wife’s warrant was also issued, to humiliate her. If he stands up and says that Imran Khan is a traitor, will people believe him? Times are tough, sacrifices have to be made for freedom, I am ready. I will not accept their slavery under any circumstances, the nation should also prepare.

Meanwhile, Australian High Commissioner Neil Hawkins met Imran Khan at Zaman Park on Tuesday. During the meeting, mutual relations between the two countries were discussed, in which the human rights situation in Pakistan, economic affairs and political affairs of both the countries were also discussed.
