YouTube TV’s popular Family Sharing account feature is facing problems as many users cannot access it.
Some users have complained that Family Sharing accounts are not accessible even to people in the same household.
Several users took to Reddit to voice their concerns. In response to the Reddit posts, Team YouTube commented, “Just wanted to give an update — engineering is aware of this and is currently working on a fix. In the meantime, there is a workaround. If You remove the family member and add them back, then they should be able to log in again.”
In addition to this issue, some reports claim that YouTube TV is showing a pop-up asking users to return to their home location or purchase their YouTube TV subscription.
Although the platform had a rule to allow account sharing only with users from the same household, it never strictly enforced it. Chances are that the company is looking at this issue in a similar way to Netflix.
