ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Asad Qaiser on Monday said that he is in touch with party chairman Imran Khan and has no intention of leaving PTI.

The former speaker of the National Assembly made these remarks after reaching the Islamabad court to attend the hearing of the case related to vandalism outside the judicial complex in the federal capital.

After PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa former president Pervaiz Khattak announced his resignation from the party post in a joint press conference, Qaiser’s status was unclear whether he had left the party or not, during which the former speaker was also sitting but remained silent. When Asad Qaiser was asked about his current status, he said, “I am with Tehreek-e-Insaaf and in touch with Chairman PTI.”

Another journalist asked him whether Jahangir Tareen – who is currently forming a new political party of PTI defectors – had contacted him or not, the PTI leader replied. , “No contact with Jahangir Tareen”.
