WABetainfo reported that the latest feature on instant messaging platform WhatsApp is a new photo editing tool, which has been rolled out to the desktop version of the app.
An article published on the website says that the recently released feature is a “crop tool” for the drawing editor that allows users to clip images as needed.
“This enhancement is highly anticipated, as the previous version lacked this functionality. With this update, WhatsApp beta users on Windows can now enjoy the facility of cropping their photos within the app, which It will make it easier for users to edit media.” Updates tracker said.
The “Crop Tool” is also a time saver for users as before its introduction, they had to crop images with external image editing tools before sending them through the desktop version.
The built-in crop tool lets users easily crop their photos without leaving the WhatsApp interface.
However, not all users can currently take advantage of this new feature as it has been initially released to some beta testers. It will be rolled out to more users soon.
