Lahore: Federal Minister Javed Latif has said that he is concerned about the elections being held on time.

Addressing a press conference at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Model Town office on Sunday, he said, “We demand that everyone be given a level playing field for the elections.”

He said that we have no deal with anyone, the deal was always with the people.

Javed further said that if Pakistan is to be stabilized, the nation must be told the complete truth.

At this time there is a need to unite the nation. The nation wants to know what is the definition of terrorist and politician, he said that Muslim League (N) is not in favor of banning any political party or any political leader, terrorists will not be spared.

Latif remarked that “whoever had a role in the incidents of May 9 and 10 should be punished.”

He demanded that all those involved in the incidents of May 9 and 10 be exposed, adding that party supremo Nawaz Sharif – who has been in London for treatment since 2019 – should be brought to Pakistan at mercy. .

Also, during the press conference, the federal minister said that the judiciary should listen to the voice of the mother of the slain Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif.

Latif said, “Murder was murder; a murderer is a murderer. The crime was the same for all, and whoever is guilty must be punished.”

In October last year, Sharif was shot dead by Kenyan police in what he claimed was a case of “mistaken identity” as he was returning to Nairobi from Magadi town in Kenya.

Sharif’s mother had on June 9 requested the Supreme Court to include the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and others in the investigation into her son’s murder.
