American actor Treat Williams died in a road accident.

Actor Treat Williams, who starred in the film musical Hair and the American television series Everwood, has died in a motorcycle accident in Vermont. He was 71 years old.

According to a statement from the Vermont State Police, Williams was thrown from his motorcycle in Vermont after crashing into an SUV in the town of Dorset.

Williams was unable to avoid the collision and was thrown from his motorcycle. He suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, where he was pronounced dead,” a police spokesman said.

The 71-year-old was wearing a helmet.

The actor’s agent confirmed the actor’s death.

According to reports, the driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries and was not hospitalized.

He was not immediately taken into custody, but the accident is under investigation.

The Connecticut native began his film career in 1975 and has appeared in more than 120 TV and film roles.

He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of hippie leader George Berger in the 1979 movie version of the hit musical Hair.
