Dera Ismail Khan: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday said that he has started the journey of development, which was stalled during the previous PTI government.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating development projects in his native district, Dera Ismail Khan, he said that the foreign agents imposed on this country have stalled the country’s economy and pushed our areas towards backwardness.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that JUIF had conducted around 14 million marches but his party workers had not damaged even a pot. Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who is also the president of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), said that he had started the journey of development, which had stalled during the previous Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government. The JUIF leader said that he was happy to see that this backward area had once again been put on the path of development. He further said that the journey of development, which was stopped during the PTI government, has resumed.

He said that PTI has ruined the country and stopped work on all major development projects including the China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

The CPEC route, which was passing through Daraban, would connect the Daraban area to the Indus Highway via Musazai, Chodhwan, Kari Shamozai and Ramak. He said that this road was approved at the time of approval of CPEC and a bridge was to be constructed on the river Indus.
