LAHORE: Jamiat Ulema Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman underwent a medical examination in Lahore on Saturday.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Fazlur Rahman underwent a routine medical examination at a private hospital. “During his examination, diabetes, blood and other tests were conducted,” he said.
He will stay in Lahore tonight before leaving for Islamabad.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman underwent medical tests in July this year, after which his spokesman said that the doctors advised him to stay in the hospital for two days to complete the medical tests.
The spokesman said that the JUI(F) chief was in a private hospital in Lahore for a routine check-up. Maulana Fazlur Rehman went to Lahore from Islamabad for a routine check-up. The doctors advised him to stay in the hospital for two days to complete his medical tests.
The spokesperson confirmed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met the JUI(F) chief and ordered to provide the best medical facilities to the hospital staff. He also thanked the Prime Minister for coming to the hospital.
Earlier, it was reported that JUI(F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been shifted to the hospital due to his health deterioration.
The condition of Jamiat Ulema Islam Fazal (JUI-F) chief deteriorated and he underwent a medical examination at a hospital in Lahore.
