A Chinese firm has expressed interest in setting up an electric vehicle plant in Sindh in a meeting with provincial officials, JEE News reported.
A delegation of China Power met Sindh Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon at the Archives Complex in Karachi on Wednesday.
Special Assistant to Chief Minister Qasim Naveed Qamar, Managing Director Sindh Mass Transit Authority Kamal Dev, China Power representative Cheng Qiang, Umar Adil Jafar and others participated in the meeting.
Memon warmly welcomed the company’s desire to set up the plant and assured it of full cooperation in its endeavours.
He emphasized that the government is committed to support investors and industrialists. He mentioned that the government is ready to provide land to industrialists and provide subsidies in an effort to facilitate their projects.
The Transport Minister highlighted that the establishment of the plant in Sindh would bring significant benefits to both the country and its people. He emphasized that this will create new employment opportunities, help in the economic development and prosperity of the country.
