PTI chief conspired with former chief justice to disqualify Jahangir Tareen, Ishaq Khakwani

Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) leader Ishaq Khakwani has claimed that former Prime Minister Imran Khan conspired with former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar to disqualify the party’s new patriarch Jahangir Khan Tareen.

In a statement, IPP’s newly appointed spokesperson, Khakwani, said it was not discussing how to proceed against PTI chief Tareen, who was disqualified for life in December 2017. .

Tareen’s disqualification
On 15 December 2017, a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court headed by then Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar disqualified Tareen for life for being “dishonest” from the court.
