Islamabad/Lahore: National Accountability Bureau Rawalpindi has summoned former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi to appear before NAB officials on July 4 in the Tosha Khana case on a request for a new date. 190 million National Crime Agency (NCA) UK settlement cases.
In a call-up notice sent to Imran’s Zaman Park Lahore residence on Tuesday, NAB Rawalpindi said: “You were called to appear before the CIT on 26-06-2023, but you did not appear and requested to change the date of 4-07-202, therefore, you are requested to appear as an accused before the Combined Investigation Team (CIT) NAB to receive complete particulars/records along with your statements/requests. Record of state gifts made, record of government gifts sold and physically prepare the government gifts held by you for valuation by experts as per the list already given to you Call 12-062023 It has been given in the notice.
In the call-up notice to Bushra, NAB Rawalpindi said: “You were called on 7-06-2023 to join the investigation vide NAB’s earlier call-up notice dated 01-06-2023, however, you failed. To join the investigation for the reasons stated in your letter dated 05-06-2023.You were again summoned by NAB letter dated 07-06-2023, 12-06-2023 and 23-06-2023. However, you have not been able to join the investigation till now. In view of this, you are again required to join the investigation along with a male family member and record your statement along with the documents/information/records 4- 4-2023 is asked to appear before the CIT.The notice said, “Please be informed that non-compliance may warrant action under NAO, 1999”.
Meanwhile, the anti-terrorism court extended Imran Khan’s interim bail in three cases till July 7. Imran appeared in the court after his interim bail expired. Judge Ijaz Ahmed Buttar extended the interim bail period.
On Tuesday, Imran Khan’s sister Dr Uzma Khan and her husband Ahad Majeed appeared before the investigation committee on court orders. ACE officials asked him some questions. The couple had sought time till July 5 to respond to the questions.
