After a gap of four years since her last lead role opposite Dulquer Salmaan in the romantic comedy The Zoya Factor, Sonam Kapoor is all set to star in the police procedural film Blind.
In the film, she plays a visually impaired officer who is on the hunt for a serial killer. The teaser shows us Sonam’s character tracking the killer despite her disability. Although we only get fleeting glimpses of the killer, he looks quite fierce in the teaser.
Blind is a thriller film based on the 2011 Korean film of the same name. The film also stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lalit Dubey. The film was shot extensively in Glasgow, Scotland and is slated to premiere on July 7 at Geo Cinemas.
Sonam Kapoor first took a break from acting when she moved to London during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. He only made a cameo appearance in Vikramaditya Motwane’s 2020 thriller AK vs AK, which also starred his father Anil Kapoor, brother Harsh Vardhan Kapoor, and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
As part of India Global Forum’s flagship event UK-India Week, Sonam Kapoor will attend a reception at 10 Downing Street, the official residence and office of UK Prime Minister Rishi Sonak.
The event, held in London from June 26 to June 30, celebrates India’s cultural influence around the world. Sonam Kapoor will be present at the event on Wednesday and will share her thoughts on its impact on Indian and global culture.
