Shahid Kapoor has denied being like Kabir Singh in his practical life.
Shahid recently talked about his most popular lead role and dark character in Kabir Singh. According to him, his role in the film was neither a hero nor an anti-hero, reports JEE News.
“He is a very cinematic character. It’s like Taxi Driver, like Scarface. There’s a difference between a ‘hero’ and a ‘protagonist’. Kabir Singh was just the protagonist of his film, neither hero nor anti-hero. Hero.”, said the Chup Chup Ke actor.
Amidst his statement regarding the role and the film, the actor also said: “I am nothing like Kabir Singh in my real life, I don’t drink alcohol, I am very family oriented, and I never had the desire to raise myself. You wouldn’t dare. Lay hands on any woman.”
“I was brought up by my mother. But as an actor, I have to play different roles, and you don’t have to like them. You have to like my performance.”
Over the past few years, the Jab We Met actor has been recognized for playing black characters.
Shahid Kapoor acted in the Amazon Prime web series Farzi opposite Kabir Singh which was also a complex character. He also acted in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bloody Daddy.
