Freshly crowned as Miss Pakistan Universal 2023, Dr. Kapotaqkhy Chanchal is off to represent Pakistan in Sri Lanka’s first ever tourism pageant – Miss World Tourism 2023.
Before departure Dr Kautakhi said with great enthusiasm: “I am very proud to represent Pakistan in Sri Lanka where 40 queens from all over the world will participate in the pageant.”
“This is my first international competition, and I have worked hard to prepare the right outfit, Q&A as well as my skills where I will be performing on a Pakistani song. I look forward to representing Pakistan at the international level. I will try my best which my country needs a lot.
According to the Minister of State for Tourism, Diana Gamage, the Miss World Tourism 2023 pageant will be held in Sri Lanka from July 20 to 30.
Some of the contestants will be new to the country and have no awareness of the people and the country. “However, the most outstanding representatives from abroad will gather there to compete for the coveted crown in the competition,” She said.
“Concerned ministries and tourism promotion bureaus are working together during this historic 11-day extravaganza to make it an awe-inspiring spectacle for visitors. All those who are coming are going to impact global travel, which There are new key players in tourism promotion.”
Former Mrs. World Sri Lanka, Radhika Gunawardhana, is organizing the event where the contestants will be provided with star class accommodation, Sri Lankan culinary delights, and all sightseeing tours and other necessary facilities free of charge.
Sonia Ahmed, founder of Pageant Industry for Pakistan, said: “This is a very important event for both Pakistan and Sri Lanka, as both countries need such events to change the image of the country in front of the world.
