Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the Assembly will be dissolved on the night of August 9.
Interior Minister said that the elections will not be carried forward under any conspiracy or for any specific purpose.
He said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) did not give the name of Ishaq Dar.
He insisted that all parties agreed that the caretaker prime minister would be a politician.
He said that PMLN’s Ishaq Dar and PPP’s Raza Rabbani can also be considered.
He said that there are many problems in the new census, it is not acceptable in any case and it will not be reported.
Rana Sanaullah declared Raja Riaz as a good candidate and promised to give the ticket.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) considered Ishaq Dar as a possible caretaker prime minister.
Dar is the current finance minister and is considered a close associate of former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
The PML-N is currently in talks with its allies in the ruling coalition to reach a consensus on the name of caretaker prime minister. However, PPP strongly opposed the name of Ishaq Dar.
It may be recalled that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had said that he was surprised at the reaction of ‘some quarters’ to the proposal to suggest his name for caretaker prime minister.
Ishaq Dar said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leadership will accept whatever decision is taken regarding the caretaker prime minister.
He asserted that Pakistan cannot function without increasing the powers of the caretaker government and there is no possibility of postponing the elections.
He said that the caretaker government should be for 90 days instead of 60 days.
