ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday requested the transfer of PTI Chairman Imran Khan from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), adding that his “education , habits and socio-political status”. Better or A-class facilities should be provided in the jail.
“From childhood, the petitioner belongs to a wealthy family, and later due to his education, habits, and social and political position in the society, has become accustomed to a better way of life… from the University of Oxford, UK. “Having regard to the petitioner’s social and political status, his education, and his habituation to a better lifestyle, the petitioner is entitled to A Class facilities as per Rule 243 read with Rule 248 of the Pakistan Jail Rules. had gone.”
Khan was arrested on August 5 after a district and sessions court in the federal capital convicted him of corruption related to the state gift depository – charges he denies.
“Allegations of misrepresentation of assets against the PTI chairman have been proved,” Judge Humayun Dilawar wrote in his judgment, sentencing Khan to three years in prison, a fine of Rs 1 lakh and an arrest warrant for his immediate arrest. Wrote while issuing.

The petition, filed through Khan’s lawyer Naeem Haider Panjotha, further stated that Khan has been kept in a “small cell measuring 9 x 11 feet”.
It further appealed that PTI chairman’s legal team, personal physician and family should be allowed to meet him.
Further, Dr. Faisal Sultan has been the physician of the petitioner for twenty five years and is aware of the entire medical history of the petitioner.
“Due to previous injuries sustained by the petitioner including a fall in 2013, due to a bullet wound in the Wazirabad attack and the need for access to Dr. Faisal Sultan to monitor the petitioner’s health condition.”
The petition asked the court to declare Khan’s stay in Attock jail as “illegal” and transfer him to Adiala, asking that Khan be allowed to meet his family, doctor and political aides “in the interest of justice”. be given
Sources told JEE News that a team of doctors has been deputed for the PTI chairman and will check him up in two shifts.
He added that Khan has been shifted from Class C to Barrack No. 2. However, according to the instructions of Punjab Home Department, PTI Chairman will be changed to B Class.
