IHC will hear PTI’s request for transfer of Imran Khan to Adiala Jail.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear a plea to transfer Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail, where he has been sentenced to three years in prison. Tosha Khana case.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq will hear the application today (Tuesday) with the objections of the Registrar’s Office.

The PTI had filed a petition yesterday that considering Khan’s “education, habits and socio-political status, he should be provided better or A-class facilities in the jail.”

It further appealed that PTI chairperson’s legal team, personal physician and family should be allowed to meet him.

Khan was arrested on August 5 after a district and sessions court in the federal capital convicted him of corruption related to the state gift depository – charges he denies.

Additional and Sessions District Judge Humayun Dilawar sentenced Khan to three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh.

After his arrest, Khan was shifted to Attock Jail.
