Pakistani film and TV actress Saba Qamar has announced that she has been granted a golden visa to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the renowned actor thanked the Gulf country for the golden visa, saying she couldn’t thank them enough for “opening their home to me”.
Qamar also acknowledges the consultants who have helped and supported him throughout the process.
“I want to thank the wonderful UAE government for awarding me with a golden visa, can’t thank you guys enough for opening your home to me – the whole process without the help of @gcclegalconsultants Couldn’t be. It’s been great support – lots and lots of love your way!” she said.
Qamar also shared a thread of photos with the flags of Pakistan and UAE.
According to the UAE government’s official website, the Golden Visa is a long-term resident visa that enables foreign talent to live, work or study in the country while enjoying special benefits.
He added that those eligible for the Golden Visa include investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, outstanding students and graduates, humanitarians and front-line heroes.
What is Golden Visa?
- It allows entry into the country for six months with multiple entries to issue residency.
- A long-term, renewable resident visa is valid for five or 10 years.
- The privilege of not needing a sponsor.
- Ability to stay outside the UAE beyond the normal period of six months to keep your residence visa valid.
- Ability to sponsor your family members including spouse and children irrespective of their age.
- Ability to sponsor an unlimited number of domestic helpers.
- Permit for family members to remain in the UAE until the end of their permit period if the primary Golden Visa holder dies.
