In an apparent relief to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), former mayor of Quetta and PTI leader Rahim Kakar along with his sons have been acquitted in the case of protesting and blocking roads.

Balochistan High Court (BHC) judge Justice Ijaz Swati, who heard the case, ordered acquittal. PTI Quetta district president Rahim Kakar and his two sons Umar Farooq Kakar and Abdullah Kakar were acquitted in the 3MPO case.

Supreme Court Advocate and ILF Balochistan President Syed Iqbal Shah Advocate followed the matter.

The Quetta Civil Line Police detained the PTI leader and his two sons on August 6 for blocking roads and protesting. Subsequent legal proceedings culminated in his recent acquittal.
