Three soldiers were martyred by cross-border firing on the Afghan border

At least three soldiers were martyred in Karam district along the border with Afghanistan when terrorists opened fire on the soldiers from across the border.

According to a statement issued by the army’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the soldiers were patrolling the fenced border near Kharlachi when they came under fire from Afghanistan’s Sarchar area. .

Three soldiers were martyred in the exchange of fire.

The deceased include 32-year-old Naik Muhammad Rehman from Kirk, 34-year-old Naik Muaviz Khan from Jamrud and 27-year-old Sepoy Irfanullah from Dargai.

The ISPR says that the terrorists from across the border suffered heavy losses due to the retaliatory firing of the army.

The army condemned the use of Afghan soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan. The army also expressed its expectation that the Afghan government would take necessary action to prevent such incidents from happening again.
