Imran Khan announces to give Last Call for protest by September

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, while giving an interview to senior anchorperson Sami Ibrahim on Tuesday, said that three months ago, he had said that national security could be compromised if the economy Weakened and led by him. Regarding his earlier statement, Imran said that he never talked about extending the tenure of the army chief, but he talked about postponing the appointment of the army chief until the general elections. He said that the decision of the new army chief should be taken by the new government. I never said who should be the army chief. I have always said that the Army Chief should be appointed on merit.

The former prime minister said he did not say any such thing upon which the Inter Services Public Relations issued a statement.
