Senator Mian Raza Rabbani said that if President Arif Alvi is found guilty of misrepresentation, action should be taken against him under the constitution and law. After President Alvi refused to sign the Official Secrets Amendment Bill 2023 and Pakistan Army Amendment Act 2023, he said that the President and his related staff should appear before the Senate.
People’s Party Secretary General Nayar Hussain Bukhari demanded a medical examination of President Alvi and said that his tweet is a question mark on his mental state.
Former Finance Minister and PMLN Senator Ishaq Dar termed Dr. Arif Alvi’s statement as unbelievable. He demanded his resignation in a post on social media platform X.
Meanwhile, ANP Provincial President Amil Wali Khan said on Sunday that President Dr. Arif Alvi has made his personality and presidency controversial by making a statement which he termed as irresponsible.
In a statement issued from here, he said that why President Alavi is sitting in the presidency if he has no control over his staff.
The ANP leader questioned that if your own staff is not under your control, then what are you (President) doing in the presidency? The ANP leader advised President Alvi to resign with dignity instead of making himself a tool.
