Former Advisor to Prime Minister on Home Affairs and Accountability Mirza Shahzad has approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to remove his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).

In his application submitted on Wednesday, Akbar said he is currently in London and working there.

The former adviser, who has been summoned by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to record his statement, has said he is ready to cooperate with the investigation.

NAB is investigating the civil settlement reached between Britain’s National Crime Agency and Bahria Town Karachi.

Akbar said that NAB has sent him a notice to which he has already informed that he is ready to record his statement through video link.

The petitioner said that I have not received any response from the corruption body.

He also requested the court to order the authorities to remove his name from the ECL/No Fly List.
