ECP issues fresh notice to Imran Khan for violating code of conduct

In a clear violation of clear directives issued by the country’s top survey body, Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has refused to appear before the body. Now, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a new notice, which he directs to appear before him on Friday.

The notice was issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) District Monitoring Officer for NA -24 Charsadda II, Mohammad Zaheer Khan.

The notice states that the head of the Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf (PTI) violated several laws of the code of conduct during his rally in Charsadda last week. Imran was in Charsada to run the election campaign for NA -24 Charsada, where he is a candidate.

These codes have been violated, including inviting public officials to their election rally and affecting the results.

On Tuesday, Imran or his lawyer had to appear in court in the Badab area of ​​Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, neither he nor his advice appeared in court. Subsequently, District Monitoring Officer, Charsadda Mohammad Zaheer Khan issued a second notice to PTI chairman Imran Khan, who directed him to appear before him on Friday.

According to the notice, a copy of which is available with Sama with ATV, neither Imran nor his advice appeared in court. He was asked to explain his position to violate the code of conduct.

The notice further added that if Imran fails to appear before him, he could lead to legal action, which includes sending the case to the Pakistan Election Commission for disqualification. –

It is mentioned here that the ECP also issued notices to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan, Law Minister Fiel Shakur Khan and Mineral Advisor Mohammad Arif to appear before the District Monitoring Officer.
