A terrorist was killed in South Waziristan on Monday when security forces foiled a terrorist attack on a check post. At least two security personnel were martyred in the fierce exchange of fire.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the army, unidentified assailants attacked a security check post in Azam Warsak area of ​​South Waziristan.

The officials have been identified as 29-year-old Naik Rashid and Sepoy Rasool Badshah.
One terrorist was killed in retaliatory firing by security forces.
After the attack, a search operation was conducted in the area as a result of which the body of the dead terrorist was recovered from which arms and ammunition were recovered.
On the identification of the terrorist, it was found that the armed assailant was involved in many militant activities due to which many innocent people have been killed.
The army further said that a ‘clean-up operation’ is underway in the area to trace the attackers.
