Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin awarded General Bajwa a cordon of honor at the Pentagon.
The News reported that in a meeting with the COAS, Secretary Austin said that the two countries continue to have a “longstanding partnership”.
“This long-standing partnership continues today, focusing on opportunities to address important mutual defense interests,” the US Department of Defense said in a press statement after General Bajwa’s meeting with Secretary Austin.
